Fairplay previews the Women’s U19 tri-series final on 16 October in Faisalabad. Find the confirmed schedule, TBC finalists and Fair Play cricket context.
The final is confirmed; the finalists are not
The fixture itself is confirmed. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s published tournament schedule lists a Final on 16 October 2026 at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. The teams field is still shown as TBC vs TBC, so this preview does not place Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka in the final before qualification settles it. PCB’s tournament schedule is the source for that current listing.
Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the three sides in the Women’s U19 T20 tri-series. In its 1 October announcement, PCB said the top two teams would reach the final. That is the useful distinction for a fixture preview: the date and ground are published facts, while the eventual pairing remains unconfirmed. PCB’s series announcement sets out the format.

How the final places are decided
PCB describes the competition as a triple round-robin. Each team is scheduled to play six T20s before the final, and the top two qualify. The tournament page records nine league matches from 2 to 14 October, followed by the 16 October final. PCB’s Women’s International Series page also lists the tri-series window as 2–16 October 2026.
The published league schedule gives every pairing three meetings. It explains why a final cannot be responsibly predicted from the name of the series or the host venue alone. Until PCB updates the Final row with the qualifiers, TBC vs TBC is the accurate match label.
- Pakistan Women Under-19s v Bangladesh Women Under-19s: 2, 6 and 11 October.
- Pakistan Women Under-19s v Sri Lanka Women Under-19s: 3, 9 and 12 October.
- Sri Lanka Women Under-19s v Bangladesh Women Under-19s: 5, 8 and 14 October.
What is known about the final’s playing day
PCB said that first ball for each match in the tournament would be at 11:00 local time, with the toss at 10:30 local time. Those timings therefore apply to the published final plan, subject to any official update. No playing XI, match officials, toss outcome, weather assessment or result is included here because none is established by the sources used for this preview.
A confirmed time should not be mistaken for confirmed participants. The final remains a scheduled T20 at a named venue, with its two places determined by the league phase. Readers who want a basic fixture status can use Upcoming fixtures; a final result belongs on the separate Cricket results route after play is completed.
Published viewing information
In the same 1 October release, PCB said PTV Sports would broadcast the final live. It said tri-series matches would be available on Tapmad and Tamasha in Pakistan, Tapmad in Bangladesh, and PCB’s YouTube channel for viewers outside Pakistan. These were PCB’s stated arrangements when the release was issued; availability can change, so the organizer’s latest channels are the sensible place to check before the match. Read PCB’s announcement.
Following the fixture without filling gaps
The value of an upcoming-match page is clarity about what is scheduled and what is still pending. Fairplay’s coverage keeps the 16 October final visible while retaining PCB’s TBC participant labels. It does not add projected line-ups, form claims or a winner forecast to bridge the gap.
For the Fair Play site navigation, Upcoming fixtures is the appropriate starting point before the game, while Live score can be checked if a score is supplied during play. If you are unfamiliar with the columns that may appear later, our scorecard guide explains how totals, wickets and overs are read.
A fair-play context, not an event-specific rulebook
The MCC’s Spirit of Cricket preamble places major responsibility for fair play with captains and extends it to players and match officials. It puts respect at the centre, including respect for opponents and umpires. That is useful context for any youth international fixture, but it is not presented here as a special playing condition for this tri-series.
The next material update for this preview is simple: PCB naming the two qualifiers. Until then, the confirmed date, venue and local start time are more useful than invented certainty about the contest.
